Markus Stitz has ridden single speed round the world and is an adventurous storyteller, as well as many other things, He's one busy man. Markus moved to Scotland in 2009 to work for the Edinburgh International Festival, after living for two years in Wellington, NZ. After circumnavigating the globe in 2015/16 he started Bikepacking Scotland, combining ancient paths to new journeys that could be enjoyed by many. He also spends his time making filmmaking of his adventures which is how we first met. Markus runs Dirt Dash events with Charlie Hobbs, but at the heart of what he does is a love for the countryside, two wheels and interesting people. I caught up with Markus and chatted through everything he has going on at the moment as well as some exciting new gravel routes he has been working on, due for realise in mid July.
